Two-Factor Authentication

Learn how to set up and use two-factor authentication to add an extra layer of security to your IndaSurvey account.

What is Two-Factor Authentication?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring two forms of verification when logging in: something you know (your password) and something you have (your phone or email).

How 2FA Works

Step 1: Password

Enter your username and password as usual

Step 2: Verification

Enter the code sent to your device

Step 3: Access

Successfully log in to your account

Available 2FA Methods

SMS Text Messages

Recommended

Receive verification codes via SMS to your mobile phone. This is the most popular and user-friendly option.

Pros:

  • • Easy to set up and use
  • • Works on any mobile phone
  • • No additional apps required
  • • Instant delivery

Cons:

  • • Requires mobile network coverage
  • • May have delays in some areas
  • • Dependent on phone availability

Authenticator Apps

Most Secure

Use apps like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy to generate time-based codes.

Popular Apps:

  • • Google Authenticator
  • • Microsoft Authenticator
  • • Authy
  • • 1Password

Benefits:

  • • Works offline
  • • More secure than SMS
  • • Backup and sync options
  • • Multiple account support

Email Verification

Backup Option

Receive verification codes via email. Best used as a backup method when other options aren't available.
